Bright beams along with the dark side of the moon will light up the Mari Showroom when the Paramount’s LaserSpectacular featuring the music of Pink Floyd at 9 p.m. tonight at Paragon Casino Resort.
Paramount’s LaserSpectacular has become a cult classic during its 23 years of touring by providing a whole new Pink Floyd experience.
Surrounded by 10,000 watts of concert quality sound, Pink Floyd’s musical legacy continues as the bands concept music captures the imagination and carries listeners away on an auditory and visual journey.
Colorful lasers and lighting effects accompany the music and give flight to the songs as the senses are confronted with an array of glowing visual displays choreographed to the soundtrack for more than two hours.
Through the use of jaw-dropping new technologies, a visual evolution unfolds as solid lines of light wash the room with color. Animated neon figures are set in motion, inflatable comes to life, and laser beams bounce and glide through the open air, crafting images like an eagle that soars over the crowd.
During the song “Learning To Fly,” a psychedelic, rotating lighting device with images of the history of flight will be in view.
“Comfortably Numb” features three-dimensional animation revealing the song’s storyline of a rock star struggling to make it.
Paramount’s best laserists pull out all the stops and bombard viewers with everything in their bags of visual tricks for the show’s finale, “Run Like Hell.” Special prism glasses multiply the fun, making one image become six. Three 30-foot screens enhance the visual experience.
Tickets are $15 and are available through Ticketmaster or the Paragon’s gift shop Cypress Knees. The event is cosponsored by Paragon Casino Resort and Cenla Broadcasting of Alexandria.
