Coming up at the end of next month (October 31st, 2009) is an elaborate, and one-off, staging of The Wall live. Tying in with the 30th anniversary of the album release, the show will aim to recreate elements of the concerts held in 1980/81 to a privileged few.
The show is a little different to other Wall tribute shows there have been, as this one has – rather uniquely – the added talents of Harry Waters on keyboards. Roger’s son has agreed to take part in the show, which is being held at the 18,000 seater O2 Arena in Prague.
Organized by musician Filip Benesovský and his friends, the concert will be the biggest and most expensive music show this year held in the Czech Republic. The music will be played by a 20-member group, playing electric and classical instruments, and joining them will be a children’s choir too.
Tickets for the show are available now direct from www.O2Arena.cz, and more information on the show and performers can be found at www.TheWall2009.cz.
